Alice passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018, at the wonderful age of 87, following a brief illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Alice lived in Quebec City with her family. Following the death of her husband John Clarke in 1970, she married Thomas Langton in 1974 and moved to Providence, Rhode Island.

She was predeceased by her husbands and her sons Gary and Ian Clarke. She leaves to mourn her son Peter Clarke and daughters-in-law Leslie, Judy and Elke. She was the cherished grandmother of Christopher (Michelle), Bradley (Robyn), Melissa, Jennifer, James and Alexander, and the proud great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Greta and Marshall. Her greatest pleasure was to receive pictures of the “kids” and share them with her neighbours at Capitol Ridge.

She was predeceased by her brothers Allan Jr., William and Douglas and her sister Helen. She will be greatly missed by her sister Elizabeth and brother Richard as well as extended family in the Quebec City area. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ellen Langton and her friends in Rhode Island.

Special thanks to Dr. Rebecca Brown and the staff of Capitol Ridge at Providence for their care and companionship over the past seven years.

At Alice’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date in Quebec City. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
