The Brigade Lyrique – Keven Geddes (tenor), William Desbiens (bass-baritone), Marjolaine Horreaux (soprano) and Eva Marie Cloutier (mezzo-soprano) – sang arias from Offenbach’s La Vie Parisienne and La Belle Hélène, Mozart’s Les noces de Figaro and Cosi fan tutte, Rossini’s La danza, Verdi’s La Traviata and Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess at a concert held at the Moulin des Jésuites in Charlesbourg on July 28.
Almost every day (weather permitting) during the Festival d’Opéra de Québec (FOQ), a quartet of singers and a pianist have been driving around Quebec City giving free 30-40 minute performances to appreciative audiences.
