Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. – CBC Canada Reads “BATTLE OF THE BOOKS” with Saroja Coelho, host of CBC Quebec’s Breakaway, at the Morrin Centre, 44 Chaussée des Écossais, Old Quebec City. This year’s five Canada Reads selections will be discussed by panelists. Admission is free. 2:30 p.m. – Unveiling of the Acting Out! Exhibit at the Morrin Centre. Discover the history of the Quebec Art Company and the projects that have shaped English-language theatre in Quebec City for over three decades through a creative temporary exhibit put together by set designer Sonia Pagé. 3 p.m. - Emmanuel Chabrier’s comic opera  L’Étoile (The Star) will be presented in the ballroom of the Château Frontenac, as part of the hotel’s 125th anniversary celebrations by the Opera Workshop of the Faculty of Music of Atelier Université Laval. 4 p.m. – St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at St. Patrick’s Church on Ave. de Salaberry. Mass, presided by Msgr. Jean Pelletier, will be celebrated at 4 p.m., followed by a banquet at 5 p.m. in McMahon Hall. Thursday, March 22 at 8 p.m. — Les Violons du Roy present Cantates de Bach, l’Étoile du Matin – three glorious cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, with soloists Anna Dennis (soprano), Andrew Tortise (tenor), and Neal Davies (baritone).
