It is with deep love that we announce the passing of our mother Donna Marie McNeil Kane on March 27, 2018, near Toronto, at the age of 82.

Donna was a mother, a wife, a nurse, a sister, a daughter, a student, a seamstress, a camper, a volunteer and so very much more. Whether it was early in her married life, when she was concurrently raising six children, working nights as a charge nurse and pursuing a Bachelor in Nursing, or later in life when managing obstacles amplified by various challenges life threw at her, Donna often seemed to make things happen through the force of her sheer determination.

Donna is survived by the six devoted children she raised with her husband, the late Joseph Alphonsus Kane: Al, Donna, Dora, Maureen, Ann and Rita, as well as their spouses/partners, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Donna’s life was held at St. Patrick’s Church, 1145 Avenue de Salaberry, Quebec City, on Friday, April 6, at 2 p.m.

The family received friends and relatives at the church, one hour before the Mass. In lieu of flowers, your prayers or a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
