FEQ director-general Daniel Gélinas unveils details of an exhibition to mark 50 years of the festival, to be installed in the Parc de l'Amérique Française. Looking on are festival president Alain-Jacques Simard, Quebec MP (and federal minister) Jean-Yves Duclos, Charlesbourg MNA and minister responsible for the capital region Francois Blais, and Quebec City Mayor Régis Labeaume.

From a modest beginning with Quebec folk acts playing in the courtyard of the Séminaire de Québec to the mega-stage on the Plains of Abraham welcoming 80,000 people to see the Rolling Stones, the Festival d’étè de Québec (FEQ) has come a long way in style and ambition in its 50 years.
