Jeffery Hale – Saint Brigid’s is offering free flu vaccines to members of the English-speaking communitywho meet the eligibility criteriaat these locations:

  • Saint Brigid’s Home (1645, chemin Saint-Louis) on Wednesday, November 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • The Jeffery Hale Pavilion (1270, chemin Sainte-Foy) on Thursday, November 9, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Valcartier Municipal Hall, (1743 Boulevard Valcartier, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, QC) during the Day Centre activity run by Jeffery Hale Community Services, on Tuesday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (except babies).

No registration is required; this free service is offered on a walk-in basis.

Learn about why you should get a flu shot. Find out if you are eligiblefor a free shot. If you are not eligible for a free shot, you can still pay to get one.  Ask at a pharmacy near you.


The injectable vaccine is given for free to the following people:

  • Children from 6 to 23 months
  • People with certain chronic diseases
  • Pregnant women with chronic diseases, throughout their pregnancy
  • Pregnant women in good health, in their 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy
  • People aged 60 years old and over

In order to reduce the risks of contamination, the vaccine is also given free to other people:

  • Close relations of people listed above, including their caretakers
  • Close contacts of children less than 6 months old
  • Healthcare workers
