The seventh annual Festival Celtes et Cie will be held Aug. 17, 18 and 19 in the heart of the picturesque village of Saint-Malachie, situated about one hour south of Quebec City via Highway 277.

This year’s edition will be outstanding, with a complete program of entertainment, activities and shows for the entire family. All concerts are free and cover a range of styles including Celtic, traditional Québécois, folk and country music.

Headline bands are Crépuscule, Blues Reel, the Duo Guay-Arcand, and one of Quebec’s hottest traditional music groups, De Temps Antan. The Choeur Celtique de Saint-Malachie, a 30-member choir, will perform in the village church, accompanied by l’Ensemble celtique des Appalaches. Les Violons Verts will perform and conduct a Celtic dance workshop.

Tickets may be purchased for the Friday evening rib dinner, the ever-popular Saturday afternoon scotch tasting or the Quebec gin tasting. More information is available on the Festival Celtes et Cie de Saint-Malachie Facebook page.
