The Jeffery Hale – Saint Brigid’s Friends’ Foundation is organizing its annual golf tournament to be held on Friday, September 22, at the Cap-Rouge Golf Club.

Louis Hanrahan will be the honorary president of this 27th edition. He was the executive director of Jeffery Hale – Saint Brigid’s for 19 years and devoted much of his career to the development and accessibility of health and social services for minority communities.

Every year, our Foundation associates its fundraising campaign with a particular project. This year’s funds will be used to once again support a student summer job program that greatly contributes to the quality of life of the residents of the Jeffery Hale and Saint Brigid’s Home. Last year, a group of eight students were hired through a grant from the Foundation. There is great hope among residents and their families that this much-appreciated and beneficial program will continue over a longer period of time. Our fundraising efforts, therefore, will help do just that.

There are several ways that you can contribute to the success of our annual golf tournament: play a round of golf, attend the fundraising dinner, become a financial sponsor, donate a gift in-kind for the players’ prize draws or take part in our raffle.

This year, for the first time, you can buy a raffle ticket online. Prizes are a $1,500 voucher from Laurier-Du Vallon travel agency and a 55-inch Samsung smart television, valued at $800. Tickets are only $10 and the draw will take place during the tournament dinner on September 22.

Your support is essential in helping us achieving our goals. To sign up to play golf, to sponsor this event, to buy a raffle ticket, and/or attend the dinner, call Michèle Provencher at the Friends’ Foundation office at 418 684-5333, ext. 1624, or visit, What’s New.
