Paul McCartney is offering Québec City a free concert for its 400th anniversary,
to take place on the Plains of Abraham on July 20, 2008. His only
performance in America this year, it is also the artist's first time in
Québec City.
His recent concerts in Kiev, Ukraine and
Liverpool, England are a glimpse into what Paul McCartney has in store
for us. It is sure to be an evening to remember!
The concert will take place on the large stage on the Plains of Abraham, where most big events are held.

The Walking Road
is one of the major events of the 400th anniversary festivities. The
brainchild of Olivier Dufour, this wide-scale show will be held on

The evening will kick
off with a multimedia show featuring performances by local and
international artists: over 140 dancers, acrobats and fire handlers

followed by the brand new show put on by Champion et ses G-Strings as
well as Bran Van 3000 and world-renowned artist Moby, who will turn the

The Carnival Invites You to Celebrate in 2009! |
 |
 |
Next winter, the 55th Carnival
will be inspired by masquerades, evoking extravagance and encouraging
mass participation by the carnival-goers. The carnival's greatest wish
is to have visitors take part in its winter madness for 17 consecutive
days of entertainment. Expect to see giant masks in the parades and on
the sites, masked balls and costumed, clownish figures that encourage
spectators to join in the fun. A wonderful time is sure to be had by
all.
Until then, those who cannot get enough of the Bonhomme Carnival can attend the carnival golf tournament on August 20 at the Le Grand Portneuf golf club. Visit our Web site for more information: www.carnaval.qc.ca
