Avenue Calixa-Lavallée is a residential street in the Saint-Sacrement district between Boulevard René-Lévesque (seen at the top in this photo) and Côte de la Pente-Douce, which leads to Lower Town.

This street was named after Calixa Lavallée (1842-1891), best known for composing the music for “O Canada,” which officially became the national anthem of Canada in 1980.
