Charles Huot was a great Quebec artist. His works decorate a number of churches and the Quebec National Assembly.

This street in Sillery is named in honour of the artist Charles Huot (1855-1930), who was born in Quebec City. Because of his talent for drawing, he attended Collège Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière. He later attended the École Normale Laval de Québec, and in 1874 left for Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts.
