Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel is a busy commercial thoroughfare which crosses Quebec City from east to west, starting in Limoilou at the corner of Avenue du Colisée until just before it crosses Autoroute 40 in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. It is also a part of Highway 138 that was once the main road from Montreal, following the north shore of the St. Lawrence River all the way to Natashquan.

This major thoroughfare is named in honour of former Quebec City Mayor Wilfrid Hamel, who was born in L’Ancienne-Lorette in 1895.
