Dame Emma Albani (1847-1930), born in Chambly, Quebec, died in Kensington (London), England, after a long career in opera.

This street in the Des Ch√Ętels district of Quebec City is named in honour of Emma Albani, a leading operatic soprano, who was born Emma Lajeunesse in Chambly, Que., on Nov. 1, 1847. She was the first Canadian singer to become an international star.
