Rue Scott is located in the Faubourg Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighbourhood. It runs south from Rue Saint-Jean to Rue Prévost near the Grand Théâtre du Québec. A small park with a playground known as Parc Scott is situated on Rue Scott between Rue Saint-Gabriel and Rue Saint-Patrick.

This short street and small park in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighbourhood of Quebec City are named in honour of William Fisher Scott (1785-1833), who was a notary public. He once owned a large piece of land in this area of the city.
