Streets in this sector of Charlesbourg are named after Canadian wildlife. Rue des Wapitis runs west from Boulevard Henri-Bourassa to Avenue Picas near the the former Quebec Zoo.

The streets in the Orsainville sector of Charlesbourg are named after fur-bearing animals such as lynx, deer, moose, mountain goats and, of course, wapitis or elk, that used to be housed in the former Quebec Zoo.
