Family, Children and Social Development Minister and MP for Quebec riding, Jean-Yves Duclos, Public Services and Procurement Minister Judy Foote, Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, Joël Lightbound, MP for Louis-Hebert, and Alupa Clark, MP for Beauport-Limoilou, gather behind the Voltigeurs de Québec Armoury, which is under restoration.

Completion of the reconstruction of the Voltigeurs de Québec Armoury on Grande Allée is not expected until 2018, 10 years after the fire that gutted the historic structure.

Federal government officials initially had hoped the $101-million project would be completed on time to mark Canada’s 150th birthday. The scope and complexity of the undertaking have forced a change in the time-table.
