Quebec approves two new English schools for CQSB
Merged high school and new elementary school serving South Shore
Central Quebec School Board (CQSB) chairman Stephen Burke says “there hasn’t been anything like this in the English community in the last almost 70 years.” What this is is the announcement of not one, but two brand-new English schools in the Quebec City area.
Bill 166 adopted!
All homeowners will now pay the same school tax rate
I am delighted to be able to officially inform you that Bill 166 was adopted by the National Assembly on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Finally, all homeowners in any given region of the province will be assessed the same tax rate as their neighbours. This tax rate will be the lowest rate in that region.
Ms. Marielle Stewart appointed Director General of CQSB
The Council of Commissioners of the Central Québec School Board is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Marielle Stewart to the position of Director General of the Central Québec School Board. Ms. Stewart will assume her new responsibilities on July 1st, 2011.
Stephen Burke elected Chairman of Central Québec School Board; replaces Michele Morin-Doyle
Stephen Burke is the new Chairman of the Central Quebec School Board Council of Commissioners. Burke, who was vice-chairman of the CQSB, replaces Michele Morin-Doyle, who resigned as chairwoman and as a member of the school board following her election earlier this year to City Council on a slate led by Mayor Regis Labeaume.
