On Sept. 30, the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, the National Battlefields Commission inaugurated two works by Indigenous artists at the Governors’ Promenade and Kiosk. The large orange, silver and blue rings form Remembering Through Beads, a sculpture by Wendat artist Ludovic Boney. The bronze statue with a jade-green patina finish standing tall in the background is The 3 WatchMen by Haida hereditary chief and artist 7IDANsuu James Hart. A full story on the sculptures and the unveiling will follow in the next edition of the QCT. (CK) (Photo by Cassandra Kerwin)
