This all-too-familiar scene will soon be upon us, so get your shovels ready! The city plans to improve its snow removal program, but there’s nothing they can do about the quantity of snow that falls.

Pedestrians and cyclists stand to be the major beneficiaries of the city’s new battle plan to remove snow from streets once the deluge of flakes begins.
The proposed plan, released recently, is said to be the first major rethink and revision of the city’s snow removal policy in 15 years. City residents had until Monday to submit comments through online consultations.
