Rouge et Or and Vert et Or make a rainbow! As the two teams battled for possession of the ball, a multicoloured rainbow arches over the Laval football field in the last few minutes of the game on Sunday, October 20.

As the sun set in the west on Sunday, October 20, a passing rain shower created a spectacular rainbow over the field in the last seconds of a football game that saw Université Laval's Rouge et Or defeat the Université de Sherbrooke's Vert et Or by a score of 38-3. The game took place at the TELUS-Université Laval stadium before a crowd of some 14,000 spectators. The QCT photographer Jay Ouellet happened to be there and got this amazing photo.

This game was the 62nd consecutive win by the Laval team on their home field, a record in Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS). The Rouge et Or haven't lost a home game since September 2004.

The team finished the regular season with a game on Saturday afternoon, October 26, in Montreal, where they trounced the McGill Carabins 30-11. They will be back on the TELUS field on November 2 to play a semi-final game against the Vert et Or.

The final match for the RSEQ-Dunsmore Cup will be played on Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m. The semi-final for the CIS Uteck Cup, will be played on November 16 and the final CIS Vanier Cup game, on November 23. Locations of these games will be determined according to the winners of the previous matches.
