The official end (or beginning) of the International Appalachian Trail in continental North America is at the Cap-Gaspé Lighthouse.

At the eastern tip of the Gaspé Peninsula, inside Forillon National Park, a short, steep walk from the lighthouse in what was once the village of Cap-Gaspé, there’s a lookout platform known as le bout du monde (the end of the world). For Simon Bourk, the end of the world was the beginning of a very long journey.
