Canada defeated the United States 3-0 in the gold medal game to capture the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s U18 World Championship on Jan. 12 in Vantaa, Finland. Canada won the tournament for the eighth time. The Canadian team had some local talent in their lineup. Goaltender Marilou Grenier of L’Ange-Gardien, shown lifting the trophy, stopped all 18 shots she faced from the Americans. When not representing her country, Grenier plays for the Cégep Limoilou Titans. (LL) (Photo courtesy of the IIHF)
