In a tight defensive battle, South Africa captured its fourth men’s rugby World Cup as they defeated New Zealand 12-11, on Oct. 28 at the Stade de France in Paris. Known as the Springboks, the champions did all their scoring with four successful penalty kicks to become the first country to win four world championships.
