In August 2019, former iA Financial Group CEO Yvon Charest agreed to study the impasse over the Quebec Bridge. In the background at that announcement were MP for Québec Jean-Yves Duclos, then-infrastructure minister François-Philippe Champagne and Mayor Régis Labeaume.

The historic, rusting Quebec Bridge is one “major step” closer to a sorely needed paint job.

On April 16, Minister of Infrastructure Catherine McKenna announced the federal government will “repatriate” the 102-year-old structure spanning the St. Lawrence River.
