Retired iA Financial boss Yvon Charest has been asked by the federal government to find a solution to the Quebec Bridge situation. At the announcement of his appointment, with the bridge in the background, are Families, Children and Social Development Minister and Quebec MP Jean-Yves Duclos, Infrastructure and Communities Minister François-Philippe Champagne, and Quebec City Mayor Régis Labeaume.

The government of Canada has recruited Yvon Charest, longtime head of Quebec City-based iA Financial Group, to negotiate the possible acquisition of the Quebec Bridge from Canadian National Railway (CN), the historic structure’s current owner.
