Captured in 1917 and 1918 in France, these seven German artillery pieces, once scattered on the National Battlefields, were recently gathered and installed at the First World War Memorial Site behind the Quebec Armoury. Men and women in period uniform stood beside each cannon.

Every year as Remembrance Day approaches, Canadians gather to pay their respects to the men and women of the Armed Forces – the veterans who worked and fought for the freedom of others, and the many who gave their lives for the cause.
