George Henry BYRNE

George Henry Byrne, son of the late William A. Byrne and the late Henriette Beaudry, husband of Jocelyne Mercier, passed away at the Maison Michel-Sarrazin on April 2, 2019. He lived in Quebec City.

Along with his wife Jocelyne, he leaves to mourn: his daughter Geneviève (Frédéric Massicotte) and his son Tommy (Veronica Biriucov); his cherished grandchildren Antoine and Maxime Massicotte; his brother Roger (Hilda Nicholls); his brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Mercier family: René (Elaine Paré), Michel (Ghislaine Hamelin), Monique (Daniel Guay) and Hélène (Michel Jérôme); his aunt Claire Beaudry (the late Benoît Warren); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Michèle Lavoie for her devoted attention and care and numerous home visits; all the staff and volunteers at the Maison Michel-Sarrazin for their excellent care and discretion, and the good services of Guy Benoît, palliative care nurse of the CLSC Haute-Ville.

on Friday, April 12 from
6 to 9 p.m.

A religious service will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at Église St-Michel de Sillery, 1600 Rue du Cardinal-Persico, Québec, G1T 1H3.

The family will also receive condolences at the church one hour before the service.
