Personnel of HMCS Montcalm, Naval Fleet School, veterans and guests stand at attention during the Battle of the Atlantic commemorative ceremony at Point à Carcy.
Last Sunday, at the Naval Complex at Pointe-à-Carcy in Quebec City's Old Port, the men and women of HMCS Montcalm and the Fleet School held the traditional ceremony honouring veterans who had served in the Battle of the Atlantic, the longest and perhaps most crucial campaign of World War II. The gathering also provided an opportunity to mark the 104th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Navy.
