François-Gaston, the Duc de Lévis, led the French army in Quebec after the death of General Montcalm on the Plains of Abraham in 1759.

Over a three-day period in June 1895, the Quebec Morning Chronicle reported on the gala visit to Quebec City of Gaston Gustave Marquis de Lévis-Mirepoix (1844-1924) of France.
