This is the logo of the long-hoped-for Winter Olympics in Quebec City.

Quebec City will not host the 2030 Winter Olympic Games. Local entrepreneur Mark Charest recently made public a study exploring the possibility of an Olympic bid, but Mayor Régis Labeaume quickly nixed the idea.

Charest’s project became public when FM93 sports reporter Pierre Vézina first aired the story on Nov. 23.
