Shown is Bateaux by Francesco Iacurto (1908-2001). Iacurto showed a remarkable talent for drawing from a young age. He studied at the École des Beaux-arts in Montreal, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1928. In 1938, he settled in the Quebec City area, where he would be based for the rest of his life. His works are exhibited at the Musée national des Beaux-arts du Québec (MNBAQ), the National Gallery in Ottawa, the Senate of Canada, the National Assembly in Quebec City, the Séminaire du Vieux-Québec, Université Laval and Quebec City Hall, among other locations.
