Norma (McKenzie) GURRIE

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come With Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest.
God told our heavy hearts
He only takes the best.

After a short illness and brave battle, Norma died in the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire, Quebec.
She inspired all those around her with her strength, unwavering courage, and love.

She leaves to mourn her sons: Andrew, Robert (Amy and daughter Victoria), and their father, Bruce McKenzie; her sisters and brother: Maureen, Shirley (Marcel), Margaret, Mary (Denis) and Gerard.
She was predeceased by her brother Michael. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral and burial were held in Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, Quebec.
May she rest in peace.
