OBITUARY: Brenda Vera (Dunford) McGARRETY (1923-2022)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda McGarrety on Jan. 16 at home. She was born in Hertford, England and came to Quebec at five months of age. She was a daughter of Leonard Victor Dunford and Dorothy Lavinia (Tickel) Dunford.
She was the beloved wife of the late George McGarrety; sister of the late Dorothy, Lorna and Douglas; loving mother to Donna (John), Cheryl (the late Peter) and Karen (Hayes); cherished grandmother to Kristian, Erin (Michael), Andrew (Cassandra), Ross (Mel) and Megan (Alissa) and great-grandmother to Samuel, Peter, Emma and Zachary. She will be lovingly remembered by all.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. The family will celebrate Brenda’s life together at a later date.
