OBITUARY

Francis Maguire Corbett

January 7, 1927 – July 15, 2024

Our Dad, Mr. Francis Maguire Corbett, lived a long and full life filled with adventure and the pursuit of knowledge. He contributed to hydroelectric power projects on almost every continent and travelled to over 50 countries around the world. While electrical engineering was his chosen career, he was a lifetime student of history with a deep interest in the World Wars. He was passionate about ensuring that war veterans were not forgotten and contributed personally to permanent memorials for the Canadian war veterans in Hong Kong. Throughout his life, he supported many charitable causes and non-profit organizations. He loved his late wife Denise; his four children, Ann, Martin, Lucy and Syl; and his five grandchildren greatly, and he did all he could to support his family the best way he knew how throughout our paths and journeys in life. He also leaves behind many members of his cherished extended family and lifelong friends.

Goodbye Dad! You can now go back to your beloved Quebec City and rest in peace in your “Condo by the Sea” overlooking the St. Lawrence River.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.
