Carolers enjoy a brief practice session above Pub Galway prior to facing the frosty elements and festive crowds on Avenue Cartier. A Quebec Art Company production of Fiddler on the Roof brought the carolers together in 2019. This is their third year singing for the residents of Montcalm. (Photo by Nick Stewart)

Here we come a-caroling! Two years ago, at the height of the pandemic, the group requested permission to sing carols on Avenue Cartier. The Société de développement commercial Montcalm, the local merchants’ association, was initially skeptical, fearing crowds might gather, but relented when the group promised to sing as they walked!
