Hundreds of residents marched through the streets of Lower Town on May 22 to protest the Laurentia port expansion project. Hoping to bury the project once and for all, they even brought along a symbolic coffin for the event.

On May 22, several hundred Quebec City residents gathered in front of Église Saint-Roch to protest against the Laurentia project, a proposed expansion of the Port of Quebec at the mouth of the St. Charles River, near the Baie de Beauport. The massive project has been in the planning stage since 2015.
