At the end of the annual general meeting, board member and vexillologist John Bertrand presented his design for the flag of Irish Heritage Quebec. He was inspired by numerous flags, especially that of Quebec City, with the white crenellated border on the green background, and local Irish history represented by the large yellow Celtic cross, which echoes the crosses on Grosse Île and Rue McMahon.
