Tucked away on Highway 293 between Trois-Pistoles and Lac Témiscouata is the municipality of Saint-Jean-de-Dieu, with a population of 1,600. This is the town where award-winning French-Canadian novelist, playwright and publisher Victor-Lévy Beaulieu once lived, and where his television series, Bouscotte, was filmed from 1997 to 2001.
