After the weather shut down the temporary sugar shack at the Joan of Arc Garden on March 19 and 20, it officially opened on March 26 and 27, attracting large crowds from 1 to 4 p.m. Children and their parents flocked to the sugar shack for free tire d’érable, provided by the National Battlefields Commission. Weather permitting, tire d’érable will also be handed out on April 2 and 3. Warm drinks are sold at the adjacent Fastoche stand. (Photo by Cassandra Kerwin)
