Rue Mont-Carmel runs from Rue des Carrières (which passes through the entrance of the Château Frontenac) to the Parc du Cavalier-du-Moulin. A plaque on the wall of the building at top left reads: “On this height, called Mount Carmel, there stood a stone windmill whereon was mounted a battery of three guns and which served for a redoubt during the siege of Quebec by Phips in 1690.” The park is closed indefinitely for work on the walls of the fortifications. Voice of English-speaking Québec would like to encourage you to consciously take care of your little corner of Mother Earth in honour of Earth Day, April 22.

We will supply you with gloves and trash bags.

Supplies can be picked up as of April 11 at 1270 Chemin Ste-Foy, suite 2141.

Snap a photo of your bag(s) and send it to info@veq.ca by May 1.

The name of the person who picked up the most trash will be announced May 2.

Let’s work together towards a better, greener future!
