OBITUARY: Denyse GAGNON (1932-2025)

Denyse Gagnon, wife of Charles William “Bill” Cox, died at Saint Brigid’s Home on March 29 at age 92. She was the daughter of the late Juliette Asselin and the late Lauréat Gagnon.

The family will receive condolences at the Lépine Cloutier Complex, 1500 Boul. Wilfrid-Hamel, on Sunday, April 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. A Liturgy of the Word will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the complex. In addition to her husband of 72 years, Bill, Denyse is survived by her children: Clifford, Dennis (Michèle Chénard), Andrew (Dany Therrien), Gail (Réjean Guay) and Maureen (Marco Jacques); her grandchildren: Kevin (Martine Chapados), Mathew (Geneviève St-Charles), Stéphany (Oliver Biasone), Patrick (Charlène Gagnon), Steven (Chantal Caron), Philippe (Élodie Pinson), Caroline (Pierre Bélanger), William (Maude Boutin) and Alexandre (Catherine Lamarche); nine great-grandchildren, brothers- and sisters-in- law: the late Kenneth Raymond Cox (the late Eleanor Hansen), the late Patsy Cox (Darryl Peterson), Helen Slade (the late Klaus Slade Sladeschek) and Susan Palmer (Donald Palmer); as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Saint Brigid’s Home, especially those on the fourth floor, and Dr. Pascale Bernard, for the attentive care and kindness they have shown our mother over the past four years. We will always remember your dedication, gentleness, support and generosity.
