On July 15, the Quebec Community Newspapers Association (QCNA) announced the winners of its annual Better Newspapers Contest. A list of QCT winners was published in the July 21 edition. On July 20, after that edition had gone to press, the QCNA announced the winners of several additional awards. QCT staff members picked up three more prizes. Cassandra Kerwin received the Outstanding Photojournalism Award. Lorie Pierce and Luc Lang received the Correspondent Award along with Yvonne Lewis Langlois of The Gleaner (Huntingdon).
