This W.B. Edwards photo shows a group of boys leaving for camp from St. Pat’s School on Rue de Maisonneuve in 1964. Some may recognize Majella Haberlin, Brendan O’Gallagher and Peter Bleau among the adults as well as some of the campers: Mike and John Bleau, Humphrey and Kevin Sheehan, John Davis, Jacques and Yves Rossignol, Harry Tuppert, Danny Shier and his brother Larry, Martin Edwards, John Nash, a Halpin, Brian Walsh and Gene Beaudoin.

For many a young lad from St. Patrick’s or St. Vincent School, the highlight of summer in the 1960s and 1970s was a two- or four-week stay at Camp Killarney in Saint-Ferréol-Les-Neiges.
