Whale of a deal: Quebec sinks millions into modern airship project

One of the most riveting clips in the big newsreel of modern history has to be that of the Hindenburg blimp explosion in May, 1937, outside Lakehurst, New Jersey. The “Oh, the humanity” cry of the broadcaster as the gigantic Zeppelin burst into flames and crashed to the ground has become an iconic moment in disaster reportage.
