This photo shows my first attempt at sauce légumes with attiéké (West African couscous) and local hot peppers!

On June 25, as Quebecers cleaned up after a weekend of Fête Nationale festivities – and in many cases, dragged the moving boxes back out – chefs around the world commemorated Bourdain Day, encouraging people to enjoy a good meal on the birthday of chef, author, culinary adventurer and journalist-despite-himself Anthony Bourdain.
