Wolfe monument on Plains a rare reminder of FLQ spree of terror

The Wolfe Monument in front of the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec is temporarily “topless,” while the helmet, laurel and sword normally seen on top of the famous column undergo restoration work by the National Battlefields Commission.

The 50th anniversary of the October Crisis will soon be upon us.
