This playful bronze statue of a court jester or fou du roi, officially known as Le Grand Bienvenue, has found a new home in Old Quebec.
Éric Lapointe has carte blanche to create his dream FEQ concert
For the seventh consecutive year, the Festival d’Été de Québec (FEQ) and Bell Canada have given a Quebec artist carte blanche to create his dream concert. Quebec’s rock ’n’ roll icon Éric Lapointe is coming to the Plains of Abraham on July 9, and he won’t be alone.

Organizers of the Place de la Famille component of the Festival d’Été de Québec (FEQ) certainly seem to know what makes kids happy. FEQ last week unveiled this summer’s program targeting youngsters looking for fun stuff to do during the festival, which runs from July 5 to 14.
Godin back with BC; no St. Pat’s players drafted by QMJHL teams
Former St. Patrick’s High School and Université Laval football player Edward Godin has made the BC Lions 46-man roster. Godin and the Lions played their first regular season game on June 15 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers but lost 33-22.

Andrew Greenfield becomes an ambassador for the Challenge XPN
After boxing in two Défi Sportif Challenges for the CHU Foundation, Andrew Greenfield will become an ambassador for the event.
Greenfield, who won a unanimous decision over Vincent Hudon at the May 31 Boxing Gala at the Colisée de Loretteville, will help other boxers by coaching them about fundraising and how to do it efficiently.
Cuban players (finally) in Quebec to help out Capitales
The Cuban players of the Quebec Capitales, of the Can-Am Baseball League, could not have arrived at a better time. After what was becoming a real hassle to get all the paperwork done with the Canadian embassy in Mexico, things were finally settled and the three players from Cuba made it to Quebec City last week.
