QHS and St. Pat’s parents unite for new superschool
It’s been in the wind for several months, but now it’s official. The governing boards of St. Patrick’s High School and Quebec High School (QHS) have united to push for a brand new superschool to replace the two aging English-language institutions.
The Project: Where and how much?
Many hurdles lay ahead for The Project, not the least of which is acquiring land and securing financing for a brand new school.
Board officials have had preliminary discussions with Quebec Education Minister Sebastien Proulx about the proposal. According to CQSB chairman Stephen Burke, the minister understands Quebec City’s English-speaking community and its needs.

The highly successful and free acrobatic show Crépuscule is back this summer. From August 4 to September 3, the circus company Flip FabriQue will pursue a nautical theme by inviting spectators on a voyage through winds and tides in Vents et Marées at the Agora of the Vieux-Port.

Citadel Foundation presents volunteer awards
The Citadel Foundation held its annual general meeting and banquet on May 4 at the Garrison Club. Each year, the Foundation recognizes one special volunteer in the English-speaking community to receive the Regina and Moe Rosenhek award. The committee is composed of Jennifer Robert, Jo Rosenhek, Mike Boden and Gail Quinn.
