No playoffs for the Fighting Irish football teams
The Fighting Irish Senior football team needed a win against the only unbeaten team in the conference, College de Lévis, to maintain their playoff hopes alive. They battled hard, but, at the end, St. Patrick’s bowed 41-20 to the Commandeurs. With the loss, St. Pat’s is now eliminated from postseason play.
Comiccon characters congregate in Quebec City
Superheroes and characters from comic books, video games, science fiction and movies congregated at the Centre des Congrès on October 17 and 18 for the second edition of Comiccon. Also on hand were comic book artists and actor Lou Ferrigno, who played the title role in the 1978 to 1982 television series, The Incredible Hulk.

In his last competition as a Lion golfer, St. Lawrence College’s Étienne Papineau won the gold medal at the PING Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golf Nationals held in Chilliwack, B.C., from October 14 to 16.
